The site has been identified as a key development area in the Dublin City Development Plan 2011-2017 and has been listed as one of eight ‘Key District Centres’ for the city. The site is currently zoned Z14 “to seek the social, economic and physical development and / or rejuvenation of an area of mixed use of which residential and Z6 would be the prominent uses”. This zoning offers the site the potential to accommodate a large mixed use scheme with uses to include retail, offices and residential.
